This project includes the refurbishment of the roofing membrane and insulation, as well as all related work required for the necessary reinforcement of the structure of the Bleury, Henri Julien, Côte-des-neiges, Esplanade and Cathcart riding arenas, in Montreal.
Respecting the heritage character in the selection of both exterior and interior materials (some ceiling sections had to be demolished to allow the construction) as well as the integration of a fall protection system were also part of the mandate. The execution of the projects included three phases: the study and reporting phase, the design of demolition and construction documents, and the supervision during the bidding request for proposals and construction. In close collaboration with various engineering firms, FABRIQ acted as the lead consultant and was therefore responsible for preparing the expert reports, plans, and specifications required for the completion of the different projects based on the identified needs of each of the arenas. FABRIQ also oversaw site supervision.
