Senior residence AMICA, Ottawa

The project involved the modification and renovation of a wing of the building intended for residents with intensive care needs, while ensuring compliance with universal accessibility standards. All bedrooms and common areas, including corridors, the entrance hall, and lounge areas, were fully renovated. Facilities such as a clinic, a nurse’s station, an assisted bath-massage area, and control points were installed in accordance with fire safety regulations.

The program also included a fitness room, a commercial laundry, a hair salon, and a cinema. Given the need to expand both the main kitchen and dining area, a second dining room was planned.

Finally, the roof was completely refurbished, and new mechanical systems were installed in close collaboration with engineers.
